The Whiskey Down at MGM Grand

Not sure if only because we got one of the 28th floor rooms, but I absolutely adore the new setup of these rooms at the MGM. It makes you feel like you've actually booked a suite. Even though you don't have the jacuzzi as in the one we had at NYNY, these newly-remodeled rooms have a hallway long enough for you to not actually see the entire room from when you open the door. Then you have a he and she bathroom, with a tub separate from the shower as well. You have two TVs, one is located in the corner sitting area. Yes you do have one!

Don't forget to mention the The Whiskey Down bar, which now replaced Tabu. The atmosphere here is relaxed, less pumped up than the bar across it. There's something weird about the drinks though. For the same price on the cocktails, don't expect to get inebriated on two orders. Also, you're surrounded by blackjack tables and there ain't really nobody playing--they might as well get rid of them.
