TravelGuard advises that the best time to travel during Thanksgiving or Christmas is the day of the holiday itself. Do you agree? I personally think that mostly it's the weather that will dictate how far you can go during the holidays. You may be having second thoughts about road tripping or flying during the week before Christmas, but if your destination is getting heavy snowfall, you might want to double check for possible flight cancellations or road closures.
