The average temperature of Port Aransas is 72 degrees. It is located on Mustang Island, which is considered to be the longest barrier island in the world. Port Aransas is quite popular for activities like birding, shelling and fishing. It is known as the Fishing Capital of Texas, and you can catch any fish of choice, and get it cooked the way you want at one of the local restaurants or bistros. Texas is a great place for shopping, because there are a number of boutiques and galleries. Texas Hill Country

Wimberley
People claim Wimberley to be A Wonderful Place To Live. It is an hour-long drive from Austin. The Wimberly village is the major center of attention. There is plenty of sight-seeing to do in Wimberley due to its scenic beauty. You will find some specialty shops here like the Rancho Deluxe (offers a variety of rustic and eclectic furnishings) and the Broken Arrow Rock Shop. Wimberley Square is the main shopping hub with many dining options. Wimberley Valley Ranch offers many activities like swimming, fishing and horseback riding.

Marble Falls
Marble Falls Town is located on Lake Marble Falls, and is just 45 minutes away from Austin by car. There are many activities in Marble falls like shopping, sight seeing, swimming, golf, hunting, fishing, boating and camping. The local people of Marble Falls are very friendly. The places to see in Marble Falls are Show Biz Cinema 8 (a multiplex with 8 screens) and Marble Falls Lakeside Park, which is a good place for a picnic.

Del Rio
Del Rio is located on the border by Lake Amistad and Rio Grande. There are many opportunities for fishermen, birders and boaters in Del Rio. The Val Verde Winery in Del Rio is the oldest winery in Texas. Del Rio also has a Downtown Shopping District, many museums, water sports activities, and several state parks (some of them consist of ancient Indian cave paintings).
