Check out Mt. Rushmore, Texas-style

I've had the opportunity to witness unusual and outstanding rock formations when I hiked Caprock Canyons in Texas. Not very many people are aware that even though these desert canyons are not the most popular tourist attractions in Texas, they are still a big hit among hikers and campers, local or tourists alike. Beware: you would have to bring gallons of water to keep yourself hydrated, otherwise you would definitely seek an oasis where you can cool off. The Caprock Canyons boasts of beautiful flora and fauna. We came for the challenge though. If you decide to tackle the jagged hills of this Midwest tourist attraction, start trekking early in the morning. You want to avoid the blistering heat of the sun at noon.
