Marble Precipice at the Big Bend 2011

This has got to be one of the most exciting parts of the hike at the Chisos Valley. The rocks transition from being hard and jagged to smooth, marble-like surface. It's slippery enough that it's almost scary. One wrong step and you break an ankle. It's a must to wear rubber-soled shoes.
When you get to the very edge of the precipice, I dare you to take a peek towards the space between you and the tall cliff across. Get a good grip and imagine what it's like gliding down that abyss. It will blow your mind.
