Florence: Family road trip ideas

Arrangements of top family destinations don't as a rule incorporate Florence. Known for its history and art, it's not for the most part a place you think to take the family while planning a vacation.

But if Florence is on your rundown of places you should see and the children are traveling with you, you may be shocked with what you find. Your kids may be more captivated with the immense art than you expect, and walking streets with a gelato is certain to please even the most shy youngster.

For instance, for a different sort of art, you may take your tyke or kids to the Boboli Gardens, which incorporates a ton of walking (maybe not the best choice for the kid inclined to whimpering), but which offers views deserving of the climb.

If you require a little rest from sightseeing, walking and managing the children, take them to the Parco delle Cascine, a urban park that elements play structures, picnic areas and even a swimming pool. This is a daytime excursion – as it were, think Central Park. Try not to head here after dim.

If you're resolved to see the sights, but your children are resolved to see activity, think of some as climbing. Head to the Duomo (arch), which highlights a decent move to the top and remunerates you with an all encompassing view of the city once you're there. If your children are the sort who will in any case have energy to burn, go straight to the chime tower nearby and climb that as well.
